People to help build the cabin, hire equipment to replace the floodlights and volunteers to help get things tidy. Will need to build benches, coathangers etc into cabin once built. Skip will be required to take ground work away and woodwork
Bloxwich Stafford Road Bowls club was established in 1934 and to celebrate our 90 years we want to improve areas to generate more members and continue to be the club for bowls in the area. We are 84 members ranging from 4 to 90, play socially and in leagues around the midlands. We have people with skill levels of quite basic and in need of coaching by our trained coach and those who enjoy the social. We offer regular tournaments socially with a catch up drink cake and bowling and internal competitions to keep the club alive during the season. We also ffer support by keeping the members together in the close season and inviting locals to participate in quiz nights, whist and skittles. We are running the campaign to increase members and offer other opportunities of playing in the evening for those who work and to encourage junior members into the game which there is a shortage currently locally. We also run events for the County and attract people to the green which prior to league bowling the green was unknown. We want to continue the legacy for the future of the club by improving the lights and offering a cabin for those members who bowl and supporters in poor weather!
