Over and Out! Our final thank you and farewell! We are officially open and working! And it all works.... Hopefully you have received our impact report and will stay in touch and use our fabulous facilities in the near future. Now it's the great upload - photoshop, logic pro, anti virus, admin levels - no one said running a computer room for digital art and music producing would be easy! Thanks again to our generous IT sponsors Macnamara for looking after this. The recording studio is now the proud owner of, not exclusively but including: a Midas M32 Digital Console, a keyboard-controller for all our virtual instruments, piano-style sustain pedal, various speakers and isolation pads to decouple monitor speakers and eliminate vibrations/resonance, a Shure SM7B Studio micro, dynamic speaker and Recording Microphone, a tuner/metronome, a reflexion filter, a collection of 50 effects for mixing and mastering, a USB and Firewire Audiointerface.... at this point your messenger lost focus in the enormous list. We also bought a lot of cords. Our music teachers are itching to get started, our tech team is carefully documenting each item and we can't wait to share these amazing facilities with you! Whether you are a budding Mariah Carey or Carolyn Davidson or Jamie XX - you will be able to create great things at Hoxton Hall. With grateful thanks Hoxton Hall Team
We are on the final leg of our journey! We would like to thank the amazing people at Good Gym who have twice run round to give invaluable support with moving, making, decorating, clearing and building. In their own words: "We are a community of runners that combine getting fit with doing good. We stop off on our runs to do physical tasks for community organisations and to support isolated older people with social visits and one-off tasks they can't do on their own. It's a great way to get fit, meet new people and do some good. As long as you're up for getting sweaty, everyone's welcome." We can only post one image with these updates, so we thought that the fuel to keep going should be formally recognised. Thank you to Natalie for sharing her delicious birthday cake! Last week the digital art room and music practice room walls were painted and the cabling for the computers was ever so neatly installed. Thank you to Macnamara IT! We are progressing to the recording studio and music practice room now for sound proofing, new fire doors and recording equipment. The computer bureaus are being made and in January we get raid the sales for indoor and outdoor furniture. Thank you again for your incredible support. Wonderful supporters! We have officially started with clearing the basement and painting! This is round one. Next it's cabling. Then music studio. Then furniture and computers. Then courtyard. Then it will be 31st January and we will be OPEN FOR BUSINESS! This is a fabulous Christmas present and we are forever grateful for your support and help. Happy Tuesday! We are looking for volunteers to help paint and decorate our new digital art space and music recording room - might you be free?? It would be some time between 15th December and 5th January. We are asking for a commitment of one 3 hour session, or more if you can manage, we think it will take two days in total.
