Holmfirth Repair Cafe will be a part of Holmfirth Transition Town (HoTT) which was founded in in 2010, and is part of the global Transition Town movement which promotes the building of resilient and sustainable local communities, a key part of which is encouraging self sufficiency and a low carbon lifestyle.
I love fixing, repairing or repurposing things and was lucky to learn these skills from my family, as was my other half. Between us we can fix lots of things and want to encourage other people to have a go. It’s good fun, gives you a sense of achievement and is great for the environment!
