More about our impact
The environment
We travelled over 500 miles with our e-cargo bike - that's a saving of 300kg of carbon while delivering goods and showcasing a real and eye-catching aletrnative to cars and van transport, without pollution, damage to roads and disturbing wildlife.
The local economy
Our Christmas Hampers, promotions and trail deliveries meant that we raised the profile of shopping local in the Holme Valley - we showed just how much is on offer to buy and have delivered in our own community, supporting local jobs and businesses.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We had the support of 12 volunteer riders, 6 volunteer promoters, 1 voluntary manager and one volunteer trainer to get Holme Deliveries on the road. We joined forces with 6 community groups and engaged 550 school children with visits to schools. This summer we will be providing research opportunities with University students to help inspire journeys by bike.
Activity, health and leisure
Riding our striking e-cargo bike around the Holme Valley provoked dozens of conversations about cycling. Our riders are all passionate cyclists and were able to give loads of local advice about bikes, where to cycle and how to get help to cycle more.
