The idea
The COVID-19 lockdown has had a big impact on Bomere Heath Cricket Club. We have suffered a huge loss of income due to no social or sponsorship events, reduced bar sales and no match-day fees.
Despite this, we still have bills to pay including insurance and ground maintenance.
To be able to continue to provide cricket for the local community we need your help to meet some of these costs. Money that you donate will be matched by the England & Wales Cricket Board so please give generously! We hope to see you all back at the ground soon.
What we'll deliver
- A cricket pitch ready for play once the lock down is lifted
- A freshly painted scorebox
- A refurbished picket fence
Why it's a great idea
Why it's a great idea:
The lockdown has had a huge impact on people's physical and mental well-being. Cricket is a great form of exercise for people of all ages and we want to be able to offer this again as soon as restrictions are lifted. We have a thriving junior membership and no doubt they will all be itching to play some cricket. With your help we can restore some normality back to life. The idyllic summer scenes of cricket down the ground and spectators enjoying the sunshine hopefully are not too far away.
Steps to get it done:
Run crowdfunding campaign to collect funds
Pay for essential overheads
To have a cricket pitch that is ready for use when the COVID-19 lockdown ends
