The idea
The cricket club has lost a lot of income as a result of Corona Virus, we haven’t been able to fundraise since March and the truncated season has meant we haven’t been able to train or play many matches as we’d planned.
The lost income means we can’t invest as much into our pitch, facilities and equipment - which impacts upon the development of our young players.
What we'll deliver
- A full renovation of the cricket square this Autumn
- We’ll be able to keep our machines operational
- We can afford to invest in more modern bats & pads etc
Why it's a great idea
We will be able to renovate our square to ensure it’s fit to stage league cricket in 2021, and service the mowers to maintain it. Investing in better bats, pads, gloves etc will mean we’re better able to train our young players so that they enjoy playing cricket.
Steps to get it done
- * enable the club to renovate the cricket square this Autumn
Our club reformed and re-energised in 2020. We’ve put a huge amount of time and effort into restarting the club, and where the youngsters of Ascott had no club to play at - now they have again!
