The idea
Hawridge and Cholesbury Cricket Club is a small village team in the Chilterns. We have plenty of enthusiasm and a fantastic loyalty but our equipment to maintain our pitch is in need of a great deal of attention. In particular, we need a new roller to get the best from our wicket. We have also spent a lot of money getting our mowers sharpened and serviced. What's more we have run out of space to keep our equipment safe and we need to buy a new container store.
What we'll deliver
- We will be able to maintain our cricket pitches to a higher standard
- If we have a better wicket, we'll play better cricket
- If we play better cricket, we will attract new players
Why it's a great idea
If we can be confident in our ground equipment, it will help greatly in getting people to assist at the club. All our ground staff a volunteers who do so much for the club in their spare time. It's vital that if they are going to give up an evening for the club, they know that the equipment will work when they unlock the shed.
