Grozone is run by a local Chairty called Groundwork that has been in operation for over 40 years.
Groundwork mobilise practical community action on poverty and the environment. We’re passionate about creating a future where every neighbourhood is vibrant and green, every community is strong and able to shape its own destiny and no-one is held back by their background or circumstances.
Grozone is a 2 acre community garden in Northwich town centre. Before becoming a community garden it was completely derelict and an area of high anti-social behaviour. The community has come together over the past 14 years to transform the site into a fantastic communty asset for local people and nature.
We grow our own fresh fruit and veg in a range of wheelchair friendly raised beds and greenhouses and our very own orchard. There's also a wildflower meadow, wildlife pond, beehives, an amazing outdoor kitchen, a yurt and an outdoor forest school.
