Imagine a school that inspires a love of learning and has each child's wellbeing at its heart. New School nurtures curious, compassionate, critical thinkers, ready to meet the challenges and embrace the opportunities within our changing world.

Our school is situated on an idyllic site in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by an organic farm, 10 minutes South of Canterbury.

Four years ago a group of teachers and parents came together to start the school fuelled by a desire to offer an education that would meet the needs of children today. Each year we grow and with that comes the need for more space. And that is where we need your help!

At New School we believe in the importance of living by the values we teach and of creating a community that embodies the aspirations and ways of working together and supporting one another, that we hope our children will take with them into the communities of tomorrow.

Our landcare and site team work with a group of older volunteers from the local community who might otherwise be at risk of social isolation. We appreciate the expertise and support they bring and know that they too enjoy our community, the space, the skills they learn and the friendships they make. Through working alongside our volunteers our children develop real respect for an older generation.

Our gentle and natural Parent and Toddler groups offer families a beautiful space in our meadow to make new friends, learn simple crafts and spend time with their little ones.

Our beautiful site is a haven for wildlife and a space that promotes a sense of wellbeing and calm.
