This initiative aims to transform our school's outdoor area into a biodiverse, educational garden that serves as a living classroom and a green haven for the community. Our project will include workshops on composting and sustainable agriculture. Using mini compost units and wormeries, we aim to engage students in hands-on sustainability practices. These activities will teach valuable ecological lessons and foster a sense of environmental responsibility. The design of our forest garden emphasises year-round usability with shelters and strategic planting, ensuring the space remains accessible and vibrant throughout all seasons. By creating a garden that is both functional and beautiful, we aim to enhance the school's environment and provide a peaceful, engaging space for students and community members alike. We believe in community engagement and fostering long-term behavioural change. Our project will include student-led sessions and initiatives that encourage home-based environmental projects. These activities will empower students to take their learning beyond the classroom and into their homes, promoting sustainable practices within the broader community.
