Marches Movement CIC exists to improve the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of people living in Ludlow and the wider Welsh Marches region — especially those who are isolated, disadvantaged, or underserved.
Our vision is to help people connect more deeply with the inner landscape of their heart, mind, and body — and the outer landscapes of the natural world — through movement, holistic practices, and inclusive community at a central Ludlow studio.
We aim to support people in inhabiting their physical bodies with more ease, joy, and confidence to live healthier, more connected lives — creating a ripple effect that benefits the whole community.
We offer inclusive and accessible yoga and wellbeing sessions to promote holistic health across all ages and backgrounds. Our primary beneficiaries will include:
-
Older adults at risk of social isolation
-
People experiencing anxiety, stress, or low mood
-
Those on low incomes or living in rural areas with limited access to wellness services
-
Carers, frontline workers, and others facing chronic stress
Our mission is to make movement and wellness practices accessible to everyone, regardless of background or income. We aim to achieve this through:
-
Free and low-cost yoga classes at a central Ludlow hub and later other community venues
-
Chair yoga and gentle movement for seniors and those with limited mobility
-
Outdoor sessions inspired by the Shropshire Hills and wider Marches region and workshops connecting with the natural cycles and rhythmns of nature
-
Workshops cultivating resilience, mindfulness, and emotional wellbeing
All profits are reinvested into expanding our reach, subsidising classes, and training local teachers in inclusive, trauma-sensitive approaches.
Our goal is to create a calm, welcoming, and healing space where movement becomes a source of connection — with self, others, and the land.
