As the studio coms out of it's winter slumber there is work to be done, to weave magic back into the space and life back into the garden. We are going to be celebrating We Are Woven's 3 year anniversary at the end of April and so I've been reflecting on it's evolution and how much you have all supported me in taking the leap to restore this charming old greenhouse into my dream come true. Over 250 visitors attended workshops last year, I held my first solo exhibition and I had the opportunity to collaborate with so many inspiring local projects. A highlight for me was definitely our Midsummers Eve event, with fairy feasts, flower crowns and folklore. Working so closely with the natural world, means my project has very quiet periods in the winter months and although a time for peace and restoration is much needed, it means Springtime is sometimes difficult for me to find the funds for our relaunch. I am currently in the process of elevating my artwork to support the sustainability of my project and this year I have some exciting plans for expansion, which include working alongside the National Botanical Gardens and developing a range of wild crafted products. As a small business owner I would really appreciate you raising me up and as a proud believer in the power of community, I know it's the right time to ask you to help me fill the greenhouse with love. Your donations will go towards re-establishing the dye garden, new updated signage, painting the outside of the greenhouse, transforming the back area into a nook/ herbal treasury, specialist workshop materials... and just maybe, finally, a sink! I also have a celebration on Saturday 3rd May, which will serve as an open day to share information on all of my summer offerings, with my botanical art collection on display, plus food, drink, music and all of my gratitude. Thank you so much for sharing this journey with me. Warm Wishes from Stacey www.we-are-woven.co.uk
