More about our impact
The environment
Throughout the project, we emphasized the importance of the environment and the need to improve it and reduce its carbon footprint. One approach to achieve this is by implementing energy-efficient heating and lighting to reduce the carbon footprint while keeping our collections safe.
The local economy
The Go Back Home project aims to boost tourism and support local businesses by attracting more visitors to Southall and its historic sites. Additionally, it seeks to contribute to economic growth by creating wealth opportunities. Mentor young people. Advocate for better work. ... Pay fair tips and wages. Buy from employee-friendly businesses. Purchase fair-trade products. Green your tourism.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Volunteering is essential for our PTA, and we always welcome newcomers to learn new skills and talents and provide opportunities to educate them or help them find suitable job opportunities. Our project involves approaching local schools, groups, and using word of mouth to recruit or find volunteers for upcoming projects. We also emphasize the benefits of becoming a volunteer. The academy believes that volunteering is a rewarding experience for project professionals, both personally and professionally. It provides numerous opportunities for individuals to get involved in writing, speaking, acting, working behind the camera, reviewing, and showcasing their talents on broader platforms.
