About the Project Creator
Vidal Montgomery I am a multidisciplinary artist. My work spans music, visual art, digital media, and community activism. I am best known for my genre-blending musical style, bold visual artwork, and commitment to using creativity as a tool for empowerment.
Alongside this artistic output, I work as a digital strategist at Taylormade Studios, where we integrates creative content production with strategic digital campaigns. My work in digital media supports independent artists and social enterprises in building strong, values-led online presences.
I am a committed community organiser and cultural educator. I am currently director with Aspire Productions CIC, a community interest company dedicated to developing young and underrepresented talent in the creative industries. Through Aspire and other partnerships, I facilitates workshops, mentoring schemes, and creative residencies that bridge the gap between grassroots expression and professional opportunity.
My musical voice draws from reggae, soul, funk, hip-hop, and improvisational jazz. My performances and studio work have brought me into collaboration with some of the UK’s most acclaimed artists, including Omar Lyefook, Omar Puente Courtney Pine, Carleen Anderson, Steve Williamson, Shabaka Hutchins, Soweto Kinch, Denys Baptiste, Talvin Singh, Julie Dexter, Maxi Jazz, and many others..
My musical versatility is showcased in projects such as OUT! The Mixtape—a powerful blend of sonic memoir and social commentary that reflects a broader interest in storytelling and self-expression.
My works often explore themes of identity, diaspora, and social resistance, using mixed media and digital collage to construct layered visual narratives. which are bold, politically conscious, and rooted in Black British experience.
