Alice in Wonderland Ltd is a new venture set up by business entrepreneurs Barry Mortlock, Simon and Eileen Burrows and came about after the museum in the town (The Rabbit Hole Llandudno Ltd) closed its doors due to the owner retiring. The owner having been approached by America and Japan wanted the contents to remain in the UK. The group having a passion for Wales and Llandudno also wanted the museum contents to remain in Llandudno where, the strong connection to the Alice in Wonderland is recognised. The museum collection was bought 2 years ago while the group devised their business plans for Alice in Llandudno. A new Community Interest Company (A.L.I.C.E Ltd) Alice Liddell Community Interest Company( ltd by garuantee) is now set up to bring a new and exciting digital ,audio e-tour (Town Trail) using augmented reality, to Llandudno. A new website (www.wonderland.co.uk) is built but hasn't yet gone live as we are wanting the timing to be accurate and tie in with pre teaser marketing campaigns. We have been very successful in securing grant funding from Conwy County Borough Council and Visit Wales. We now need to prepare the infrastructure around the town ready for a launch early next year 2014.
