Pinchbeck Community Hub and Library is a thriving volunteer led facility based on a large village within South Holland District Council. It has been in place for over 10 years and provides a wide range of activities and events to local people including access to the public library system of Lincolnshire County Council. As a core community venue it works to engage with people on improving their health and wellbeing as well as delivering a range of hoibbies and interests. In September 2024 it held a Look After Your Heart event which was attended by over 350 people. 40 local services and agencies displayed what was on offer to help people in their journey to wellbeing. It was from this event that the need for a focus on FND was identiofied and a multi-agency steering group was established to try and meet this need.
The Hub formed a partnership with the local NHS, Local Authority and several key voluntary/charitable sector partners to explore the needs of this very unique group of individuals. It soon became claer that a much wider need existed and our efforts were expanded to include the whole of Lincolnshire. In oreder to progress this we have chosen a local partner to support our efforts at raising awareness and education of FND, . Stamford Health, Education & Awareness Charity (SHEAC)
SHEAC is a local organization dedicated to promoting health awareness and education within Lincolnshire.
