Flakefest 2024 was a festival of art and culture and we were overwhelmed with its success and impact on the community of Fleetwood. We want to re create it in 2025 , bigger and better !

Summer across the UK is filled with festivals. We want to create our very own Glastonbury , Leeds and Reading albeit without the tents and clean up operation after its finished. in 2024 , the community of Fleetwood came together to put on one of the biggest community festivals it has seen and we want to do it bigger and better in 2025. Celeb and local bands will come together to rub shoulders with the folks of Fleetwood and surrounding towns to create a night to remember. The impact from 2024 was amazing ; It generated revenue for local small businesses , created over 520 hours of volunteering time from the local community and had a positive impact on green spaces in the town in the run up to the festival. The buzz from the festival goers was incredible and what we achieved from a non alcoholic event something to remember. Fingers crossed we can pull it off in 2025

You did it !!! We hit our target and Flakefest 2025 goes ahead on the 27th June. Thanks to a donation of £6798 from Flakefleet Primary School , we ended our campaign with a bang. This donation would not have been possible without the families and friends of Flakefleet Primary and Strive Coffee shop. During the past 3 months , volunteers have ben raising funds through cake sales , bingo , fun days , bring and buy sales and makers markets. We are overwhelmed ! Our line up is complete and we have community artists , kids and a 90s sensation Whigfield topping our bill. Its now time to get Festival ready and we can't wait . We also thank Lancashire County Council Sport and Culture fund for their funding ........ we couldn't have done it without them.
Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
We have been overwhelmed by the support we are receiving from the community to raise funds for Flakefest 2025. Our latest event brought families and children together to compete in good old fashioned street games like Tog O War , hula hooping and marbles. We are well on our way to achieving our target
We are thrilled to announce that we have a date for Flakefest 2025. Get your festival gear ready and put a note in your diary for Friday 24th June. To hit this date and get ready in time we have had to scale back some of our festival costings but after discussion with Spacehive and Lancashire County Council, we are still good to go ! We are proud to announce that we will still have the support of Lancashire County Council who will still pledge £7,000 to our campaign which we are delighted about . Its now full steam ahead with our campaign for the remaining funding .
