Fix It Collective is a South London-based Community Interest Company (CIC by Guarantee) made up of people who want to change the way we see and deal with waste and weeds.
We’re committed to empowering individuals and communities to repair, reuse, and repurpose. We believe that changing how we value the things we own and the systems we live in is essential to tackling the climate and biodiversity crisis.
Fix It Collective's aim is to give people the tools, both literal and metaphorical, to fix broken objects, repurpose discarded materials, and see potential where others might see rubbish. Our mission is to shift everyday behaviours by offering accessible, practical opportunities to reconnect with the materials around us.
We also believe in challenging the way we think about weeds and neglected urban spaces. Just as a broken object has value, so do overlooked pockets of nature. Through our future work on biodiversity and rewilding, we hope to inspire communities to nurture their environment as well as their resources.
Our work is rooted in collaboration: we bring together neighbours, makers, fixers, families, and first-timers to build a community of action. We’re intergenerational, inclusive, and always evolving. We’re not just offering services, but we build a movement. We’re not making profit, we’re making connections.
By promoting conscious consumption, practical skills, and a shared sense of responsibility, Fix It Collective is helping to shape a circular economy from the ground up. We don’t just want people to waste less, we want them to feel differently about what they have, what they throw away, and what they can do.
