Preston's Encounter Festival 2023 with torchlight parade, fireworks finale and more

The Torchlight Procession is expected to be the main draw for crowds on Saturday evening. Led by the energetic and brilliant Mr Wilson's Second Liners Brass Band, it will see the city centre's streets full of energy.

Our event brought 37000 people into the city centre to watch the procession.

Out procession showcased groups from Preston - Mela, Caribbean Carnival, Worldwise Samba, Dance Syndrome, Sparkle Dance School, Rivington Morris and others and the processed next to bands, lanterns and spectacles from all over the country.
