The idea
The Imagination Club, a collaboration between Project St Thomas and YMCA Lincolnshire, is a vital initiative in Spalding offering children aged 7–11 a nurturing space to explore their creativity, cultivate friendships, and grow in confidence. Holding sessions featuring books, games, arts, and imaginative activities, the club promotes a positive and supportive community environment led by responsible adults. While current funding allows for monthly sessions beginning in April, this Spacehive project aims to expand to weekly sessions, providing consistent opportunities for children to thrive, learn, and connect in a safe and inspiring space. What we'll deliver
- Deliver weekly Imagination Club sessions for children aged 7–11 at Project St Thomas in Spalding
- Run 1.5 hour structured sessions including books, games, arts and crafts, and imagination activities
- Provide a safe, supervised space with responsible adults present
- Deliver the sessions in partnership with YMCA Lincolnshire
- Provide drinks, snacks and activity materials for children attending
- Enable the club to run weekly rather than monthly throughout the year
