SHIFTwithin CIC is a Kent-based, community interest company supporting the emotional wellbeing of women, children and families navigating change, stress and adversity. Our work focuses on early intervention, prevention and building practical skills that help people feel safer, steadier and more confident in their everyday lives.
We work across schools, community settings and families, delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based wellbeing programmes and training, that is grounded in an understanding of how stress shows up in the body and behaviour. Our approach is regulation-first and skills-based, ensuring support is safe, inclusive and appropriate for group settings.
SHIFTwithin CIC was founded in response to the growing gap between children’s emotional needs and the support available to them, particularly during times of family change such as separation, divorce and bereavement. We regularly hear from schools and families that children are struggling, but that specialist services are overstretched or inaccessible.
This campaign aims to pilot our CPD certified Family Transitions train-the-school programme in two primary schools in Swale. By training school staff and leaving skills, resources and confidence embedded within schools, we aim to create sustainable impact that continues long after the pilot ends.
