The idea
We are creating a women’s health resource to offer free and highly subsided holistic support. The project will provide information, education and holistic support for women, from puberty to menopause and beyond.
Despite 1 in 3 women in the UK suffering from a reproductive or gynecological health issue in their lives, less than 2.5% of UK research is dedicated to reproductive health. Yet many women and girls feel alone and lost, struggling to navigate the physical, mental and emotional impact of their unique health needs.
Help us to kick-start a women’s health programme across Shropshire where we will offer free and affordable supportive yoga classes, workshops and holistic therapies for women to help find paths to better physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
What we'll deliver
- Create a supportive network in Shropshire to address women’s health needs
- Provide free and affordable classes and workshops, including yoga for menopause, workshops for hormone health
- Access to holistic treatments to support women's health including acupuncture, aromatherapy and nutritional support
- Offer holistic health events particularly within communities who may otherwise not normally have access to such support
- Provide sustainable support for women and girls with free and low-cost educational opportunities for health

Steps to get it done
- Kickstart the project by April 2025
- By July 2025, half of all sessions to be planned and/or delivered
- By October 2025, project evaluation underway and plans to sustain Empower Her in the long-term
- Complete project by end of November 2025, sharing full impact
Activities offered as part of Empower Her will take place at our purpose built yoga and wellbeing centre in Shrewsbury as well as at a range of community spaces across Shropshire.
