More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

This project did not focus on the environment. Its aim was to support children’s mental and emotional wellbeing through practical workshops.

The local economy

The local economy

This project did not directly focus on the local economy. However, by helping children develop emotional intelligence and healthy coping strategies, it contributes to their long-term ability to become resilient, confident adults who can positively add to society and the workforce in the future.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

The project directly supported children’s education by teaching them how to identify their feelings, understand how emotions affect them, and practise strategies such as breathing techniques to manage challenges. These skills were reinforced in class and during PSHE lessons, showing that the learning carried beyond the workshops. By improving children’s emotional literacy, the project added to their overall education and gave them tools that will support learning and behaviour across subjects.

Arts, culture & heritage

Arts, culture & heritage

This project did not focus on arts, culture or heritage. Its purpose was to improve children’s mental and emotional wellbeing through practical workshops on feelings, friendships, and coping strategies.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

The project promoted children’s health and wellbeing by teaching 27 local Year 3 pupils (aged 7–8) practical strategies such as breathing techniques, relaxation methods, and ways to manage friendship issues that often caused unhappiness at school. These sessions encouraged positive emotional health, supported calmer behaviour in class and on the playground, and gave children tools they can use throughout daily life to manage stress and anxiety.
