Duke Fitness C.I.C delivers programmes and activities that provide benefits to Sunderland and wider North East region. Via local consultation and working in partnership with likeminded organisations, we identify and break down barriers to enable members of local communities to participate in a range of wellbeing programmes to improve individual and community outcome.
We create a safe nurturing environment which will generate a culture of positive wellbeing. Supporting the individuals/ community to make the transition towards a healthy lifestyle through targeted training, healthy lifestyle choices and creating a positive social enviroment where individuals can socialise with likeminded individuals.
Duke Fitness C.I.C delivers tailored fitness-to meet individual needs/ group needs (whole community) ,tailored wellbeing programs- healthy living programs for the whole of the community eg, prenatal and postnatal general activities to boost wellbeing, enhancing and supporting mental health, physcial wellbeing and community cohesion. We deliver
healthy lifestyle, eating programs and food preparation sessions alongside boosting personal, physcial and mental wellbeing via a range of sessions that promote information and life skills to support wellbeing and general physical health.
We create a range of programmes and events for families who are increasingly struggling to make ends meet during the current economic climate. Activities support family cohesion, community cohesion and improve general mental health, physical wellbeing and help to support the generation of positive wellbeing habits that individuals are encouraged to adopt into their everyday lives.
We deliver sessions for individuals suffering with medical conditions. Appropriate targeted exercise and a balanced diet can support the individual to gain:

Reduction in high blood pressure
Reduction in diabetes
Reduction of stroke
Reduction of heart attack
Reduction in use if prescribed medication
Exercise releases those happy hormones helping many individals reduce medication, have more energy and become more productive.
Duke Fitness creates low cost (where possible free) sessions to prevent barriers to participation for those most in need within areas of high multiple deprivations. Supporting vulnerable women and delivering this service during this intense period in a woman's life will help to foster positive long term outcomes for the individuals and her wider family/community.
