Chester based Style Joinery has pledged £1,000 worth of seating and joinery services to assist with the provision of seating in the gardens. This will be a huge step towards making the unique sunken circular area in the centre of the gardens into a space for residents and visitors to sit and enjoy this peaceful space. Thank you!
Whoop, 70 people have pledged since fundraising began!
Thank you to Estates Property Management who have not only donated £100, but also pledged a day of labour from a member of their maintenance team. This will be hugely beneficial once the physical work of improving the space begins. Estates Property Management are based in Chester and are a leading block management company who currently manage a wide range of developments across the City and nationwide, including Albion Mews, The Chapel, and The Warehouse on Volunteer Street.
The CWAC Community Innovation Fund assessment panel has now reviewed our crowdfunding campaign and has decided to enable time to attract more backers/funds. Assessment is to be deferred to w/c 20 October. In the meantime, CWAC have encouraged the group of volunteers to actively submit other funding applications. We will continue our efforts with this after the summer holidays, and appeal to our supporters to spread the word and share the project with any contacts you may have. We remain determined to work together to restore the gardens and highlight their significance in Chester’s history.
