Since April, we have been busy on the project, encouraging families to Discover Crawley Together with a series of free activities across the borough. From local history and community art to looking after the environment, we have sneaked in all kinds of family learning whilst celebrating our amazing town and getting people involved in new activities and exploring new places. The project kicked off in a creative way at the Broadfield Arts Festival with families making huge willow dice for display in the exhibition and on the performance day. Since then, there have been three hugely successful Book in the Park events with over 400 visitors at the last event. We have also encouraged families to get involved in community litter picks and can't wait to do more during the Great British Spring Clean. Mystery at the Museum saw 66 visitors explore the museum’s archives, many of whom had never been to Crawley Museum before. Pop up Dots and Hearts sessions have given families across Crawley the opportunity to play games together, whilst stealthily practising their maths, literacy and social skills. Discover Crawley Together has been a brilliant opportunity for families to enjoy time together and come away with a greater sense of the community they are part of but we aren't finished yet! Our upcoming events include getting more people involved in local history with a special opening of Ifield Watermill and we also hope to explore our creative side at The Hawth!

Whoop, 30 people have pledged since fundraising began!
A big thank you to everyone who came to our event with @crawleybookclub today. Over 350 attended and it was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the sunshine together. This sort of event is exactly what this crowdfunding campaign is all about. Don't forget to pledge if you would like to see more events like this in Crawley. #familylearning
