Updates
It has taken an unbelievably long time, but with patience and perseverance we finally, we have the keys to the DIG site. Hoorah! As you can imagine it has become incredibly overgrown over the year, so lots of work is required to bring it back to the beautiful space it can be. Last week we had an incredible corporate volunteer group in from Works4U clearing out many years of accumulated waste along with some weed strumming. They achieved so much in one day and we are very grateful to them. We will continue to make the site more accessible and we are hoping to host an open day in July or August for all you lovely people who donated to this cause. We will contact you again when we have a firm date. Kind regards, Cultivate London www.cultivatelondon.org
Hello All, It has been a while since we updated you and as you may have figured out the documentation is all taking far longer than we would have liked. However we are now looking to the New Year and hoping to really get going on the site then. In the meantime if you would like to visit our garden in Isleworth we have a celebration on the 8th. It would be lovely to see you there and it will give you a flavour of what we are about! - In case the image above is not clear, below is the text version. Annual Celebration and AGM You are cordially invited to our Review of the Year followed by our AGM on 8th December 2021 Time 10 - 4 Venue: The Salopian Garden 689 London Road, Isleworth, TW7 4ES There will be a selection of light refreshments and snacks. We thought we would send you another update to keep you informed. You will have noticed that your donations have been taken recently. We have put in all documentation for the funding amounts from both MAKE London fund and the Future Ealing funding. We should receive them shortly. On the lease front things are moving along nicely if a little bit slower than we would like (we are just keen to get going!) Risk assessments and lease details are almost there. We are hoping for a key handover by mid September. In the meantime we are not sleeping! we have had an ecology expert look around the grounds.. We are awaiting their feedback, but they were impressed with the site and what it has to offer. We are also promoting the site to local community groups and hope to develop programmes with them going forward. We will send a further update once all is in place and look forward to seeing you all.soon. Thank you again for all your support.
This fund is now closed and the information is for reference only.
Dear Supporters, Thank you once again for all the promises of donations. We thought we would give you a quick update on where we are with things. As you may be thinking it has all gone quiet! - Upon hitting our target the wheels of admin and paperwork start to roll, currently we are awaiting the funds from both the Mayor's office and Future Ealing. When this happens then we can really get started. In the meantime we are sorting out the lease on the site and hope to have that completed very shortly. We will be in touch again when we can finally welcome people on site, hopefully not too long now. So in the meantime, enjoy this glorious weather that has finally arrived. See you soon on site.
Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
