We want to be able to keep cricket going in the Goldthorpe area of South Yorkshire, our club has been serving the community since 1926 and Covid-19 has us struggling financially.
Our aim is to keep cricket going in the Dearne area, and we firmly believe that the way that we will ensure that after losing a lot of money through sponsorship deals falling through is through amazing campaigns like this. We fear that no cricket means no money coming in, which ultimately could lead to the demise of our cricket club which has served the community since 1926, almost 100 years!

Why it's a great idea:
We will be able to continue providing a sport and important exercise opportunities to multiple generations in the Dearne area via our training and match play activities. During a time where childhood obesity is on the increase, any impact we can have on reducing that in the Dearne area (a heavily deprived part of Yorkshire) will be a huge bonus!
