My name is Louise Dickson and I am the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Illuminate Freedom.
Suffering from Fibromyalgia (FMS) myself was the inspiration for starting Illuminate Freedom. After finally being diagnosed with FMS I realised that I didn’t want to stop it from doing the things that I love. Dancing and playing football was a huge aspect of my life and something I didn’t want to lose. Which sparked the question why do I have to stop? Can’t I find a way to adapt the techniques?
Everyone can dance and play sport, we just need to provide the help and support to do so!
Here at Illuminate Freedom, we strive to support, inspire, educate and empower people with sight loss and FMS through dance, exercise and health and wellbeing projects, we work with people of all ages across London.
Our team understands first-hand frequent issues and emotions that come up when living with a chronic health condition or disability. Especially living a life that is different from the one we previously knew.
Illuminate Freedom’s main goal is to help! We want to be there to support and brighten up life’s journey.
