Cricket after Lockdown in Cookley
Due to the restrictions of lockdown necessarily enforced due to Coronavirus, Cookley Cricket Club needs your support in bringing family and youth cricket back to Cookley quickly & safely
About the Project Creator
Cookley Cricket Club celebrated its 150th Anniversary year in 2019 - and continues to thrive!
We were the Haig Village Knockout Cup Winners in 1977, winning at Lords and proudly having the trophy on display in the Clubhouse!
We started our new Youth Cricket section 5 years ago and have gone from strenght to strength - regularly seeing 50+ young people playing and enjoying quality and dedicated cricket coaching on a Thirsday evening - both on the field and in our new (for 2018) Nets training facility, built by kind donations from our family, friends and supporters.
We have 3 Senior XI Teams - Firsts, Seconds and Thirds - and our 3rd XI sees many of our Junior players making the transition to Senior cricket through this side!
Our U9s achieved not only the District finals but also the County finals in 2019, and one of the U9s Players was selected for County trials too - and we are looking forward to seeing more from them!
We have a fabulous ground featuring a grass wicket and an artificial wicket, plus outdoor Nets facilities - surrounding by beautiful countryside surroundings and borderd by the canal too.
Our clubhouse and changing rooms are part of the stunning Cookley Sports and Social Club - with outdoor Pavilion food servery, large members bar, snooker room, Parish Hall and Youth Club room too!
A warm welcome awaits all at Cookley!
