The idea
The project will run for a 12 week period with six weeks teaching photography and six weeks teaching painting with residents from the local community.
The course will focus on teaching technical aspects of photography and painting, creative techniques and allowing attendees to gain inspiration from their surroundings and others. This course will also enable the attendees to creative new friendships within their community and also improve their wellbeing.
What we'll deliver
- A welcoming environment for people to learn new skills.
- A chance for individuals to explore new interests and opportunities for social interaction.
- Weekly projects for attendees to express their thoughts and feelings in a visual format.
Why it's a great idea
The project will allow us to engage with local community members and provide access to art education and experiences that they normally would not have access to.
Throughout the 12 weeks, we want to create a strong culture of creativity and collaboration that can be continued in our community.
