Cool Allotment For Seniors

To create a space for our local elderly residents to enjoy growing and harvesting their own food. This is a little gem of a space in the midst of a community allotment project. Lots of extremewly hard work went into this project. We did have challenges. Our project leadwer was diagnosed with serious cancer throughout his body. Obviously, through his treatment, the project was dwelayed. Miraculously, with the support of his mediacal team he has managed to manage his cancer, eradicating 90% of the disease and he is back on our team. For this next season (winter) onions, carrots, potatoes, cauliflower, cabbages are the staple veg. However, we are adding a herb garden. Harvested food supplements our free food cafe and free internet cafe supplies. I would say a real success story. We have purchased lots of produce, tools, a shed, greenhouse and were donated some power tools.
