We are delighted to have reached our target thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund, the Integrated Care Board (Sunderland), Sunderland City Council and Sunderland Public Health. We also appreciate the £1 and £2 that our community has pledged as we know that times are hard for a lot of the people we support. Many thanks from everyone at My Sisters Kitchen. The well-being of community will benefit hugely from our workshops. Just a reminder of what we plan to offer: Our MOBILE Community Well-being & Baking Workshops have numerous benefits as we engage with marginalised communities, including, but not limited to those who are : - Asylum Seekers and Refugees - Neurodiverse - People with disabilities - Carers - Young Carers - Young people and adults experiencing poor mental health - Youth groups -Survivors of domestic abuse -People facing barriers and disadvantages The sessions will help particularly in the present economic climate and provide : -Numerous learning opportunities, teach baking skills, well-being and mindfulness, understand how to cook affordable meals from scratch, - Encourage family activities and engagement - Reduce social isolation by bringing the community together, particularly individuals who live alone. -These sessions can be cross- generational and help develop social connectedness , improve mental health and reduce loneliness. ✅ fully insured ✅dbs checked ✅qualified food and nutrition teacher (14 years experience) ✅5 star ⭐️ food hygiene ✅level 3 food safety certification #sunderlandfoodies #sunderland #community #bakingworkshop #wellbeing #mindfulness Sunderland, UK The National Lottery Community Fund Spacehive
