More about our impact
The environment
We have reduced food wastage by distributing Foodshare and Fareshare products to families that need it most
The local economy
We have provided support to local families and supporting agencies to help address the energy crisis and cost of living increase. We have provided a safe place for people to come when they are at their lowest and have nowhere else to turn. We have referred the majority of our families to additional support services.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Each volunteer has their strengths and we have been able to increase our team to ensure that these personal skills can be used to help support those who visits. The additional building space ensures that we can facilitate a streamlined service and have a large enough team present to meet all needs. A volunteer training lead is now in place to ensure that additional skills can be offered.
Arts, culture & heritage
We have restored an old garage into a usable community building.
Activity, health and leisure
With the rise in mental health concerns, we have been able to support many lonely and vulnerable individuals and provide a safe place and a warm welcome, when they have felt they had nowhere else to go.
