More about our impact
Volunteering, jobs & education
In order to organize this event we relied on help from volunteers. We had 8 young people helping us through NCS, 2 local volunteers, 5 volunteers through GLL as well as some of our parents. By bringing everyone together and helping towards making a great event a sense of community was created. Everyone joined to make a great day out.
Arts, culture & heritage
We had arts&crafts tables where children and parents could play together and create a piece together, encouraging them to develop their artistic skills. We had a book corner with books which children could keep, and many children chose to keep some. At the end of the day we had 18 books left out of 73.
Activity, health and leisure
As part of our objective to promote activity and leisure we had the following games and sports: garden Jenga, garden Connect4, badminton, football, snag golf, mini tennis, egg&spoon and sack race equipment.
