More about our impact
The environment
We use recyclable materials in our workshops and use shared community spaces to help support our environment.
The local economy
We provided opportunities for people to meet and develop new skills.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We had three volunteers who helped with the delivery of the project.
Arts, culture & heritage
Community Clay Club created a community hub for the promotions of arts, culture and heritage in Shropshire creating space where local traditions and modern practices merge. The project engaged community members with the craft of ceramics. preserving and reviving traditional craft skills. The Clay Club offered workshops teaching traditional pottery and hand building techniques. Community Clay Club helps to sustain Shropshires cultural identity and make arts more accessible to isolated rural communities.
Activity, health and leisure
Community Clay Club provided a dynamic and accessible space for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to engage in creative activity, encouraging both physical and mental well-being. In rural Shropshire, where access to diverse recreational opportunities can be limited, Clay Club offered a unique and inclusive form of leisure activity.
