Volunteering, jobs & education
We now have a few volunteers - at least two a week. (currently 4 in total with two others in the waiting). We also have about 3 Client Volunteers who support with the running of the sessions. One helps out with producing the monthly programme. They are very good on the computer so they create this, prints out and advertise. The activities would have been agreed by the clients in advance. Another one helps out with community funding and the other client volunteers supports with the knitting sessions. Absolutely fantastic. We now
Activity, health and leisure
The majority of our clients were lonely and isolated. This project has brought people together. Some have started communicating outside of the group e.g. texting and the group on its own has organised an outside "meet up". Some of the clients also support in the running of the group e.g. putting the Group's Activity Programme together, some have designed some games that the group can take part in - it is becoming a huge friendly community - absolutely amazing.
