More about our impact
The environment
The park area has been reclaimed from the industrial railway goods sidings yard that was there before.
The local economy
Early days yet but as people become aware of the facility over the next few years we expect an increase in dwell time at the brewery bar & restaurant and the Railway Buffet car.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Too early to gauge yet as we now close for winter.
Arts, culture & heritage
The project encourages families to visit and spend time at a heritage site that would not otherwise be on their radar.
Activity, health and leisure
The active play equipment is fulfilling it's role in encouraging children to safely climb along the structure promoting coordination in a fun way.
