Chelwood Nursery Mural in Brockley

Official unveiling and ribbon cutting by MP for Lewisham & Deptford Vicky Foxcroft on the 4th of March. It was attended by the Nurseries management and staff, School Governer, Chelwood House for families, parents, children and Artmongers. A nice end to a wonderful project.

After 9 days of painting it is a wrap ! I thank God for blessing me with 9 days of dry weather and the ability to get the job done. A big thanks to all those who supported this Spacehive campaign to get it funded and a special thanks to the person who pledged £543. The exact amount needed to hit our target with 4 hours before the deadline " Miracles do still happen". A big thanks also to the Management of Chelwood nursery school for allowing me to transform their wall, the parents who helped in the workshops and in painting, Patricio Forrester and the Lewisham School of Muralism and my team " 34Bus " for all their help and support. I will like to reserve my biggest thanks to the children of Chelwood nursery firstly for embracing me as one of there own but also keeping me well entertained throughout. Thankyou guys for all your help in the workshop, your wacky ideas, inspiration and help painting. It was EPIC and a MIGHTY EFFORT !

We are making progress and will be back painting during the half term.

Day 1 was great and the kids were so excited with all the commotion, especially when the paint went on. Cant wait for them to see the colours go on and the illustrations.

I spent the afternoon putting on the white primer with Mandy a Grandmother who has a daughter that attends the nursery. I was on the rollers and she was on the brushes . One Tin down !!!! a bit more priming to do but I think we will definitely have some colour on tomorrow. Yaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy
