The idea
A professionally installed CCTV does deter crime, especially if the right camera is installed in the right location.
In the event of crime, CCTV can provide identification or number plate reg images which can be used by the Police as evidence in court.
Home owners located at street entrances and other strategic locations can help protect the entire street. The footage can help the victims by providing images of the incidents. This can be done remotely with a password & all data is secure.
Not all houses have to have CCTV on the street and other people can donate to the scheme to share the costs and benefits.
Plus the quality & standard of CCTV has improved vastly, whilst the set up cost and maintenance can be low.
If home owners or participants in the scheme use the same design, equipment selection and support procedures, the whole scheme is literally guaranteed to be efficient and effective. Once a few criminals get caught, the street will experience a big drop in crime & feel safe.

- Install 250 x 4 camera 5MP CCTV systems around crime hot spots in Battersea
- Supply and install one free 5MP varifocal camera FREE for every (2 camera minimum) installation
- FREE CCTV advice, site surveys and consultations.
Why it's a great idea
This project is a great idea because we already have very uccessful CCTV street schemes in operation around Fulham, Battersea and Chelsea right now. Our CCTV schemes reduce and prevent crime by 80%. Our CCTV systems have a 95% success rate in capturing identification images of offenders. Private CCTV are now very effective and affordable. Whereas, Council CCTV systems are very costly to install, maintain and do not have the same capability. HD Static cameras at low or eye level on homes can capture identification shots of pedrestrians or vehicle number plates registrations at speed. We think, plan and work together on community projects, to positively protect our streets & homes & this could be a solution.
Steps to get it done
- Getting neighbourhoods to agree on custom CCTV designs and plans to protect their street
- Actually doing the CCTV installations and works. Target one installation a day. 250 installations over one year
- Training end user and signs off each scheme.
- Maintaing systems and support end users in their use
