Jo and Ming co-founded Cauli in February 2019 as a consulting service that provides sustainable solutions for the public and private sectors. Our flagship scheme is CauliBox, a digitally-enabled reusable lunchbox scheme that rewards customers for sustainable behaviours.
Jo is a widely recognised food waste and sustainability campaigner and entrepreneur. She has worked with corporations (including Unilever & Sainsbury’s), local authorities (Camden council) and higher educational institutes (London School of Economics) as well as numerous food enterprises such as Costa, Gail’s Bakery, Ole and Steen, Too Good To Go and OLIO in cutting food waste and advising on sustainable development. She holds an MSc in Global Health Sciences from the University of Oxford and a BA in Psychology and Chemistry at Colby College as a Davis UWC Scholar. Josephine was awarded a special “Women in Food” award by the Mayor of London in 2019.
Ming is a veteran entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of working in business development and building relations, particularly in the UK, the Arab World and China. She was Founder and CEO of a start-up fitness management company in China and also a Founding Partner of MoreFun Sports from 2014-2016. She has advised multiple energy companies, sovereign funds and MNCs on investments with China's Belt & Road Initiative (BRI). She holds an MSc in Comparative Politics (LSE) and an MA (Hons) in International Relations with Arabic (St Andrews).
