Installing solar panels to bring down energy costs
To install solar panels to the roof of the Castle Park Arts Centre, including the courtyard units. The project will also require storage batteries to optimise energy generation and energy use. Most of the roof space is south facing and should therefore benefit from capturing solar radiation. As a small self funding charity the recent hike in energy costs has caused severe financial pressure. Generating our own electricity will greatly help to relieve that pressure.

People meet in the courtyard, admire the art in the galleries, enjoy the surroundings and relax in the welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is delighted by the art on display, excited with the arts-based activities and entertained and educated by the diverse cultural events. Artists hold the Arts Centre in high regard and respect the professional support and expert curation provided. There is a tremendous desire to display in the galleries because artists know that only the finest works will be accepted. The Arts Centre has a clear strategic focus with the aim of bring the enjoyment of art closer to the local community. These are the benefits the project will bring
Steps to get it done:
The Arts Centre will remain important to the local community and artists of all persuasions by being responsive to their needs and by protecting the beautiful historical building and surroundings. Ensuring its survival by bringing down energy cost will be hugely welcomed by the local community

In Castle Park Arts Centre the community of Frodsham has a unique asset. Comfortable, safe and welcoming, people are stimulated by the art on display, inspired by the high-quality workshops and entertained by top class musicians and performers.
With a new strategic focus of making people happy the Arts Centre has a new lease of life. The galleries are open and exhibiting works of art. The courtyard is being used for entertainment and the Courtyard Cafe has blossomed with attentive, friendly staff providing quality service.
The overwhelming strength of the Arts Centre – its unique selling proposition - lies with its distinctive building, novel courtyard and beautiful setting in the grounds of Castle Park. This enhances its local arts-based brand. The Centre has evolved into an icon of Frodsham. It has tradition and history and by providing cultural opportunities throughout the North West of England and North Wales the Arts Centre has gained regional significance. There are very few local organisations that can equal the high level of cultural engagement that the Arts Centre provides to audiences and people, including those from underserved groups in society. With free public access, including disabled access, to the building and art exhibitions there are no barriers to audience or visitor diversity. The policy is to welcome all. Making people happy is what the Arts Centre seems to do better than most organisations.
