The idea
A preventative, community‑based programme supporting young people’s mental health at a time of significant public health need across Kent. With rising anxiety, loneliness, and poor wellbeing among 11–17‑year‑olds, we offer an accessible, non‑clinical space that strengthens protective factors and reduces the risk of long‑term ill‑health.
Our programme combines nature based activity with structured wellbeing support, delivered by experienced youth workers, angling coaches, and volunteers. This early‑intervention approach builds resilience, reduces stress, and supports positive mental health.
Rooted in our Youth‑Centred Approach, we help young people identify strengths, goals, and aspirations, fostering confidence, social connection, and a sense of belonging. By reducing barriers to participation and engaging those who may not access traditional services, we help tackle inequalities and support place‑based public health improvement.
