The idea
Caring Hands' food bank has seen an 80% increase in referrals since March 2020 and needs your help to be able to continue with this level of support to our local community, particularly those who have been affected hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are anticipating a further increase in referrals in the coming months as we enter into a predicted period of recession and school summer holidays.
What we'll deliver
- Up to 150 food parcels each month
Why it's a great idea
To support families and individuals who are experiencing food poverty in providing food parcels which will last the receipients at least a week so that no-one who is referred to us will go hungry.
Steps to get it done
- Coping with the increase of referrals to the food bank
- Increasing the number of volunteers and volunteer hours
- Providing up to 150 food parcels each month
