Caring Hands in the Vale has been running a food bank in the Vale of Evesham since 2003.
Caring Hands' food bank has seen an 80% increase in referrals since March 2020 and needs your help to be able to continue with this level of support to our local community, particularly those who have been affected hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are anticipating a further increase in referrals in the coming months as we enter into a predicted period of recession and school summer holidays.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
To support families and individuals who are experiencing food poverty in providing food parcels which will last the receipients at least a week so that no-one who is referred to us will go hungry.
Steps to get it done:
Caring Hands in the Vale also operate a Household Bank (toiletries, cleaning materials, toilet rolls and laundry powder) a Baby Bank (baby formula, nappies and wipes and baby toiletries, a Household Bank and Homelessness Bank. We operate on a referral basis from a network on over 100 front line agencies who are registered with us as referral partners.
