We’ve done it! The target has been reached, and KCC has backed it with a donation of £2300. It’s going to make an enormous difference over the next 18 months, and I can now reserve another 2 month slot at the Beaney Museum in Canterbury in 2027. 23000 people visited last year, and there are few places (bar a London Gallery) that can attract so many people. You probably realise I’m a forward planner, but there are going to be unexpected opportunities that will arise, and I’ll now be able to accept without hesitation, as long as they help me achieve the aims of the work. As for funding beyond that, I will look to establish the Project as a Community Interest Company. By doing so, local County Councils will be more likely to provide grants. It’s been a hard slog, but reaching this target has provided a huge boost. And it’s down to all of you. You made it happen. Thank you !!!!!
Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
Just 2 weeks left, and only £135 needed to hit the target. Im confident this is achievable, having come so far since this initiative was started. I’m meeting with a group of local business owners this evening, and will ask them to help with the last bit. One or two are already aware of the work, and the positive impact it’s having. Will keep you, my 90 backers, in the loop. And once again, THANK YOU
Whoop, 90 people have pledged since fundraising began!
So ….. here we are, a couple of weeks to go and just £200 to raise in order to get to that all important target. The micro grant from Dover Town Council helped enormously, and KCC has been proactive at promoting display and workshops at Dover Library. Thank you all again for your wonderful support. Here’s to that final push for another £200. I’ll be keeping you posted. And if you’d like to pledge a tiny bit more ……. You of course know how. The final hurdle and I’m a very happy person. 🙏🙏🙏
