Capturing Lockdown The Exhibition Goes Live Today!4 years ago

Capturing Lockdown 2020 with Woodard Photography and Crawley Museum finally goes live today! A huge thank you for your support in making the exhibition a reality! #CapturingLockdown #Crawley The exhibition runs from Thursday 3rd February until Saturday 26th March. Crawley Museum is open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10.30am to 4pm. Here's a little reminder of how it all began. Back in the early days of the first lockdown, Linda Woodard, a Crawley based photographer, came up with an idea to permanently record this unprecedented time. She decided to photograph people on their doorsteps with items that represented their lockdown experience. LPK Learning CIC extended the project by asking Crawley residents to send in their own lockdown photos. Over 300 photos later and after a year’s delay due to yet more lockdowns, this wonderful collection of professional and community photos will be on show to the community that helped shape the project. We hope you can come and see the end result!

The actual Capturing Lockdown exhibition, featuring Woodard Photography's amazing doorstep photographs along with community images and objects, will be held at Crawley Museum when restrictions allow. In the meantime, we are so pleased that some of the community images were on display as part of the #RightHere festival! We hope that you spotted some of them when out on your daily exercise!
