The idea
We're thrilled to announce Brewster's Community GlowUp, a project focused on making our community spaces safer, more accessible, and more inviting for all.
This initiative will include two major improvements:
Enhanced Security with Visual Intercom: We will install a new, secure front door featuring a visual intercom system. This upgrade will boost security and allow for easy, safe communication with visitors before they enter.
Upgraded Lighting for the MUGA: We’ll replace the existing floodlights around our Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) with modern, energy-efficient LED lights. This upgrade will enhance visibility, making the MUGA usable and enjoyable all year round, even during the darker months.
Our goal is to create a space that caters to all ages, supports community activities, and enriches everyone’s experience. Support Brewster’s Community GlowUp and help us build a brighter, safer, and more vibrant community.
What we'll deliver
- New secure front door
- New Visual intercom access system
- Well lit MUGA that can be used all year round
- Increased level of safety will make users feel comfortable
- More cost effective energy efficient lighting
Why it's a great idea
Our project brings crucial benefits to the local community.
Year-Round MUGA Use: Upgraded LED lighting will allow the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) to be used throughout the year, overcoming current limitations. This means young people and families can safely enjoy the park when the nights are darker, extending recreational opportunities and fostering community engagement.
Extended Activity Hours: Improved lighting will enable our partners to offer physical activities beyond summer, providing more exercise opportunities and supporting better health outcomes for local youth and families.
Enhanced Security: Installing a new front door with a visual intercom system will boost security at our community centre, allowing for effective visitor screening and access management.
Future-Proofing: These upgrades will ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for years to come, investing in a vibrant community space for the future.

MTVH recognises that our volunteers and residents are the heartbeat of our community, and we’re committed to providing them with the best facilities through the Brewster's Community GlowUp project.
Our volunteers pour their time, passion, and energy into making our community vibrant. The new front door with a visual intercom will ensure they have a secure and efficient workspace, allowing them to focus on their invaluable contributions without worrying about safety. Their hard work deserves a facility that supports and appreciates their efforts.
The upgraded LED lighting will transform the MUGA, making it accessible year-round and safe for families and young people to enjoy after dark. These enhancements will create a lively and inclusive space for community events and activities, supporting healthier lifestyles and stronger connections.
By investing in these improvements, MTVH is showing that we value and support the people who make our community thrive
