The Change Foundation is a multi award-winning charity, supporting young people in Ealing to thrive for over 15 years through our sport for development programmes. Our innovative programs are designed by our coach mentors with lived experience of the challenges faced by the young people we work with, including significant input from the young people themselve, to address their needs and fit seamlessly into their lives. We are either currently, or have in the redent past delivered the following programmes in Ealing:
Street Elite - A training for work programme that uses sport and intensive mentoring to support young people who’ve been impacted by crime, violence and inequality. This programme supports young people into secure education, employment or training opportunities.
Netball 4 Change - A programme that uses the game of netball to teach girls affected by the overuse of social media how to stay safe online. It empowers them to think more positively about their social graph, how it can affect their future prospects and raises awareness of negative social media influences.
Girls Win - This programme empowers young women and girls living with a disability to develop their future prospects. Using sport and mentorship, Girls Win allows young people to build lasting friendships whilst improving their mental and physical health.
London Futures - An employability programme that engages young Londoners aged 18 – 30 with a disability, helping them transition into work, education or training through sport and personalised career development.
Hit the Top - This was a programme that supported young people with a disability in London to access cricketing opportunities. We set up disability cricket clubs in all 32 London boroughs and provided young people with disabilities a pathway to elite sport through the England disability cricket teams.
StreetChance - StreetChance was a programme which ran weekly cricket sessions for young people across the UK, often supplemented by informal education classes that address topics such as gangs, knife crime and drug abuse.
Rugby 4 Change - Rugby 4 Change was an employability education programme using rugby in Pupil Referral Units for young people at-risk of exclusion, run in partnership with the Dallaglio Foundation.
