Our club depends on sponsorship, subscriptions and bar profits to survive. All these sources of income have disappeared as a result of there being no cricket
Our club is seeking support from the ECB and other sporting bodies to ensure it is able to continue to provide cricket opportunities for youngsters, boys and girls and adults in future years. It has ongoing costs involved with running the club even though there is no cricket taking place, e.g insurance, broadband contract, winter nets and square maintenance but no substantial income to meet these commitments.

VolunteerOur club is one of the leading clubs in Sussex and compete in the Sussex County League. We are proud to have been appointed by Sussex County Cricket Club and the ECB as a Focus Club for this area of the county. We have attained ECB Clubmark status which confirms our commitment to a safe child friendly junior section.
This year the club has worked with Sussex County Cricket Club and the ECB involving the club in excess of 100 hours of qualified coaching to children in schools around Burgess Hill. The work that the club undertakes in the local Community was recently recognised when it won the Active Sussex Club of the Year award.
BHCC is 150 years old in 2022? BHCC is the biggest we have ever been. We now run 20+ teams! So for a few months the committee have been working on our plans for 2021 and beyond to include the momentous year of 2022 which we will be celebrating accordingly.
It’s time to launch our most ambitious plan yet to continue to improve the top quality cricketing provision we provide in the centre of our town.
