More about our impact
The local economy
Two businesses at Preston Market benefitted from the people attending the event and other nearby businesses too. 32 local artists achieved paid performances. A local music company was paid to provide equipment and sound engineering skills. Some of the artists got further paid gigs from being seen at Best of Preston.
Arts, culture & heritage
A huge range of genres were displayed during the events, some niche genres of spoken word, instrumental music and many singer-songwriters were able to share their original work and make connections with other artists. A further Best of Preston event was held in the MET at UCLan due to the success of the project.
Activity, health and leisure
Free entertainment at a covered venue in the city centre was provided at 4 events through the Summer for anyone to come and enjoy.
